Some days you just have the undying need to blow off everything and ignore everyone. That was the kind of day that Jasey was having. It seemed to her that everything around her was being excruciatingly annoying and she needed to get away from it. Her roommate had somehow disappeared in between Jasey waking up, falling back asleep, and waking up again, so she decided to just get up and go out. She didn't exactly know where, but most of the things she ended up doing were just her winging it.
After getting dressed, she grabbed her ipod and a notebook so maybe she could do some song writing or possibly do some homework, but the former was probably the most likely of the two to happen. Walking out of the dorm and going down the street, she put her headphones in her ears and turned on the loudest music possible to block everything out. This was actually quite depressing. Jasey had no idea why she was so mad at things at the moment, but she figured she could possibly get a good song out of it.
Starbucks was the first place she came across, and being the huge hipster she was, she went inside and ordered a grande mocha cookie crumble frappuccino with extra whipped cream. She took her drink outside and sat in front of the coffee shop at one of the tables. The notebook and a pen were taken out of her bag and laid on the table so she could get to work. Jasey noticed how it was basically as hot as satan's scrotum which was extremely unnecessary. She didn't know how long she could stay out in the heat like this.
As she sat she walked the people walk by. The girl was a huge fan of people watching as it was always interesting to see the different types of people that walked around Portland. You had your crazy hipsters, serious business people, underground punks, and summer bloggers mostly. And by summer bloggers, she meant those dumb girls who walked around in ridiculously bright colors and short shorts for the entirety of the season and all they could every talk about was going to the beach. Maybe this was why she seemed so frustrated. Jasey was an extremely cynical person and it was starting to get to her.
She stared down at her notebook and tapped her pen on it a few times to the beat of the music she was listening to. It had shifted to something a bit softer and wasn't nearly as prone to making her ears bleed. Another sip of her drink was taken, and she put her face in her hands, just staring at the paper. The girl had to at least get something that day or else she would feel really unproductive. Jasey sighed and took another drink.
