the plot

Once upon a time, Gracelyn and Garrett Vea were done with the music industry as it was. The two, a pop artist and a bass guitarist respectively, were finished with the dishonest truths of the record labels and the obsession that people seemed to have with glamour. So they quit while they were ahead, called up a few favors from Shock Records and a few classical artists, and opened the Vea School For Musical Talents in the September of 2006 in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon. The system they set up was simple: Three buildings. One for girls dorms, one for boys, and the third was used for the nurturing of musical talents such as pop, rock, indie, hardcore, classical and electronic. The system that, alongside high school academics, soon became renown around the country for being able to break certain artists out of their shells, gain two top forty hits and even a Grammy nomination. Now known as one of the best music schools in the country, six-hundred and seventy four students are currently enrolled in the school, each of them pining away for an opportunity to succeed in the music industry and climate set ahead for them... But that also means little curveballs have to be thrown at them. That's where The Cellophane comes in. A gossip blog ran by Gracelyn and Garrett themselves, it keeps up on whatever the students are doing and publishes their little secrets. Not everything is true, but hey, you need to learn how to handle the tabloids, right? Right.
